Sekisui Vegan Sushi in Chattanooga

Recently I saw another blogger, Chattavegan, mention that a Japanese restaurant in Chattanooga had added back their vegan menu. Since we were going to be in town for Thanksgiving it sounded like a fun place for us to try. We drove up to Chattanooga Wednesday afternoon and after getting checked into our hotel we headed over to Sekisui for dinner.
The restaurant is located downtown near Warehouse Row and there is plenty of parking nearby. Eric was starving and wanted to order one of everything. We ordered and shared the Bongos Roll, Buttercup Roll, Sea Otter Roll, and Vegan Futomaki.
The Buttercup Roll was our favorite. It had avocado and pineapple on top and inside the roll was fried shiitake mushroom and broccoli with cilantro.
A close runner up for our favorite was the Sea Otter Roll which was pickled eggplant, cucumber, and asparagus inside with sweet fried tofu on top. I am normally not a huge fan of tofu but this was really different and I am glad we tried it because it was delicious.
Bongos Roll had fried shiitake and ginger on top with pickled daikon, sweet fried tofu, cilantro, and avocado inside the roll.
The Vegan Futomaki was a big roll with cucumber, avocado, sweet fried tofu, and pickled onion.
Everything was so amazing and it is so much fun to have choices when eating out. Chattanooga has so many vegan dining options and you can add Sekisui to that list!
